ترجمه مطبوعاتی

شاید محیطی را که برای مرور شخصی اخبار روز جهان و یادگیری و بخاطر سپاری واژه های مطبوعاتی آنها ایجاد کرده ام باید تنها برای مطالعه خودم باقی میماند . شاید این تفکر که بهتر است هر واژه ای که در مطبوعات برایم جذاب است، دیگران هم بهره برداری کنند کمی بیهوده باشد. بهرحال این وبلاگ صرفاً بهانه ای بود برای من و دیگر دوستان تا علاقه خود را به یادگیری مستمر زبان انگلیسی و ایجاد جذابیتهای تقویت دانش لغات به ویژه در بخش مطبوعات حفظ کنیم. البته  کسانی که به واژه های مطبوعاتی که قطره ای از دریای زبان انگلیسی است علاقه دارند مطمئنا شیوه های ابتکاری موثرتری را برای خود بکار خواهند گرفت. با آرزوی موفقیت برای تمامی دوستان و وبلاگ نویسان بالاخص  در بخشهای زبان انگلیسی، متون مطبوعاتی، خبرنگاری و روزنامه نگاری

 گزارش BBC از تهدید ولادیمیر پوتین، رییس جمهور روسیه، پیش از شرکت در اجلاس رهبران کشورهای صنعتی جهان، موسوم به گروه هشت در خصوص اینکه که اگر آمریکا سپر دفاع موشکی در شرق اروپا برپا کند روسیه برای اولین بار پس از جنگ سرد موشک های خود را به سمت غرب اروپا نشانه خواهد رفت:

If President Putin's words are anything to go by, it looks like being a pretty stormy G8 summit in Germany this week. First up was the United States: Mr Putin poured scorn on its plans to build a new missile shield in Eastern Europe. If it goes ahead, Russia would, he said, be forced to respond by pointing its own missiles at European targets. It would be the first time since the end of the Cold War that Europe has been directly targeted by Russian nuclear missiles.

He then went on to accuse the West of hypocrisy in criticising Russia's human rights record. Responding to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, he said the United States is the main violator of freedoms and human rights around the world and he added that France, Germany and Britain have problems of their own.

Finally he accused Britain of foolishness in trying to extradite a former KGB officer for the murder of Alexander Litvinenko. President Putin said Britain knew Russia's constitution prohibits such an extradition. By pushing ahead, he said, Britain was engaging in PR and politics, and any way you look at it, it's pure foolishness.

      ویژگی اخبار مطبوعاتی خبرگزاریهای بین المللی، استفاده از واژه های نه چندان سخت و تکراری است مخصوصاً اگر این نوع اخبار در حوزه سیاست باشد. بنابراین یادداشتهای اینجا ارتباط مستقیمی با تعداد واژه های جدید و یا تکراری اما مهم در هر خبر با کمّیت یادداشتهای اینجا دارد. امیدوارم موضوع مذاکره ایران و امریکا در خصوص عراق جدای از مباحث سیاسی آن، برای ترجمه مطبوعاتی مفید واقع شود.

subversives: خرابکارانه، عملیات براندازی علیه یک حکومت یا سیستم سیاسی tending or seeking to subvert, overthrow or destroy (an established government): But there was little expectation that Tehran and Washington's envoys would see eye-to-eye over the crisis, even before Iran's foreign ministry accused US agents of sponsoring subversives in its border provinces.

envenom:زهرآلود کردن، آلوده ساختن to put venom or poison on or into ; to fill with hate; embitter:The poisonous rhetoric that has dominated exchanges between the enemies has been further envenomed by the conflict in Iraq, in which US commanders accuse Iranian agents of arming and training insurgents and illegal militias.

strife: ستیزه، دعوا strong disagreement or fighting:Tehran says the US-led occupation force is the cause of the problems and that it is also trying to stir strife in Iranian border provinces.

at loggerheads: مخالفت سرسختانه  having a quarrel opposing each other:  Both countries are also at loggerheads over Iran's nuclear programme which has been ruled off the agenda in Monday's talks so as to limit discussions to quelling the chaos in Iraq.منبع خبر: AFP

   البرادعی در مصاحبه ای با روزنامه نیویورک تایمز در روز 15 مه گفت که با توجه به راه اندازی تاسیسات غنی سازی اورانیوم در ایران، خواست بین المللی برای جلوگیری از دسترسی این کشور به این فناوری موضوعیت خود را از دست داده و بهتر است اجازه ادامه فعالیتهای هسته ای ایران در سطح محدود به این کشور داده شود.

   همزمان، منابع دیپلماتیک گفته اند آمریکا قصد دارد نسبت به پیشنهاد مدیرکل آژانس بین المللی انرژی اتمی برای مصالحه بر سر برنامه های اتمی ایران به وی اعتراض کند.

   اما ظاهراً بر خلاف اظهارات هفته گذشته البرادعی،  به نظر میرسد گزارش امروز وی جنبه منفی داشته باشد. باید منتظر بود تا متن گزارش انتشار یابد.

ElBaradei has occasionally irked U.S. leaders, but his recent comments rankled both U.S. and European officials because they were interpreted as siding with Tehran at a critical time.

He said IAEA inspectors had concluded that Iran is starting to enrich uranium on a much larger scale after solving technical problems.

"We believe they pretty much have the knowledge about how to enrich," ElBaradei was reported as saying in The New York Times. "From now, it's simply a question of perfecting that knowledge. People will not like to hear it, but that's a fact."
