تحولات سریع در سوریه و سقوط بشار اسد
همزمان با آتش بس موقت بین اسرائیل و حزب الله، حمله ناگهانی گروه های مخالف دولت بشار اسد به سمت حلب و بعد دمشق آغاز شد. تحولات سوریه آنچنان به سرعت اتفاق افتاد که مطالب و مقالات رسانه ها هم از آن جا می ماندند و هنوز مطلبی منتشر نشده بود که تغییرات جدید آن را از ارزش می انداخت. کسانی که نقشه تحولات سوریه را برای رسانه ها و شبکه های اجتماعی ترسیم می کردند نیز تقریبا خواب نداشتند و مدام مشغول اصلاح آن نقشه ها بودند.
لارا روزن روزنامه نگار آمریکایی جمعه گذشته و در حالی که حمص در توضیح تحولات سوریه، پیشروی سریع نیروهای مخالف بشار اسد و روند سقوط آن، در تیتر مقاله و ابتدای مقاله خود، از نقل قولی از کتاب خورشید همچنان میدرخشد ارنست همینگوی استفاده کرده بود.

9 December, 2024 FT : Israel has taken more Syrian territory and struck chemical weapons sites in reaction to the toppling of Bashar al-Assad’s regime by a group led by the Islamist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
The movement of tanks and infantry, which extended into and beyond a previously demilitarised buffer zone, was condemned “in the strongest possible terms” by Egypt. Cairo said it amounted to the “occupation of Syrian land” and a “severe breach” of a 1974 armistice deal.
