ترجمه مطبوعاتی

با توجه به تحولات اخیر واژه هایی که این روزها در مطبوعات و رسانه ها زیاد به کار برده می‌شود و در مطالب رسانه ها به چشم می‌خورد را با مثال هایی که در مطبوعات به آن برخوردم می‌آورم. البته تعدادشان زیاد است اما اینها دم دستی بودند که یادداشت کرده بودم . برخی از آنها خیلی ساده هستند و برخی دیگر معانی متفاوت و شاید دور ازذهن دارند. برای مثال battery است که اگر معنای نظامی‌اش را ندانیم ترجمه بی‌ربطی از آب در می‌آید و برخی از آنها گاه معانی متفاوت و دور از ذهنی دارند.. مفید برای ترجمه مطبوعاتی:

projectile: پرتابه

a missile designed to be fired from a gun.

battery -ies : آتشبار / سامانه (پدافندی)

unit or multiple systems of artillery, mortar systems, rocket artillery, etc., so grouped to facilitate better battlefield communication.

trajectory: خط سیر، مسیر پرتابی
The pathfollowed by a projectile flying.
Drones and cruise missiles follow a flat trajectory. The ballistic missiles are fired on an arcing trajectory that uses gravity to reach very high speeds.

fend off: پدافند کردن

to defend oneself against (someone or something)

shock and awe: سریع و برق‌آسا

توضیح : این واژه می‌‌تواند از جهاتی معنای حمله سریع و برق‌آسا blitzkrieg را هم در ذهن بیاورد.

volley: رگبار، شلیک پی در پی

... a volley of hundreds of missiles and drones.

barrage: گلوله باران، رگبار، آتشباری
a concentrated artillery bombardment over a wide area.

swarm: فوج
move somewhere in large numbers.
A swarm of drones took off on a nearly 2,000km, hours-long flight to Israel, soon to be followed by missiles.
